To start we had an induction on the content we would be learning for the next few weeks. Point, Line, Plane can be used for many different types of content such as creating diagrams, creating images/ icons, creating shapes, etc. During this lecture we looked at different examples of point, line, plane such as a website about if the moon were only one pixel. I found this very interesting because it was very clear that a lot of effort was put into it because there was so much detail and accurate measurements. Another example we looked at was the Seed media group which uses point, line, plane in their logo to make it look like the seeds inside a sunflower. They have also used it to create their staff pictures which is very fitting for their brand. Point, Line, Plane can also be used to record data and make different, unique patterns. I really enjoyed learning about the different ways point, line, plane can be used because I find it interesting how much meaning there can be behind a couple of points. I sketched out some ideas to make my own examples point, line, plane by drawing nine boxes. The first three boxes had two points, then the next three boxes had three points and the last three boxes had five points. Then I used Figma to create the designs digitally. I really enjoyed creating this because I have never used this software before and I found it interesting learning how to use the different sections. After this activity we learned about the frequency and rhythm with point, line, plane. Then we were looked at our first project and the different places were we can find inspiration for our project such as football fields or on social media like Pinterest.
